iva engine rules

i have a chevy v8 which has a 2005 q4 block but has every possible rebuild parts in it and is in theory a brand new engine will this pass a iva as a new engine ? i have all the paperwork except who built it ..

Have you checked the Iva book?

You should be able to use anything as long as it passes the relevant tests for the year it was manufactured.

as nigel says ,if you have proof of the engines age then it is tested to its 2005 emissions spec.if you cant prove its age then its tested to the latest standards
