Ok - I’ve had nothing from the organisers re club pitch yet.
Unfortunately for me it’s the same weekend as the Belgian F1Grand Prix which I might have tickets for if we’re allowed to go.

I’ll be booking our usual pitch if it’s available as it seems some changes have been made to the showground.

I’ll post the advertising blurb soon.

The organisers have informed us that everyone might be in different place this year as half the site will be closed off, they will only have one Hall & because of this they are not sure who is going where as yet.

There also might not be any space to camp on the club pitch if it is considerably reduced. Hopefully this won’t be the case & people can camp there as normal & not the camping area.
Kitnet have a gazebo and if there is room for it to go up then all Pilgrim members are invited to have tea & coffee from them as normal.
Thank you Kitnet.

Latest from the organisers. I'll make no comment and leave it up to you to decide what you want to do. When I receive the promised plan I will share it with you. I'm at Silverstone for the F1 Grand Prix this coming weekend so you won't hear from me again until the middle of next week! As an aside, congratulations, Dixon on your award Sir.

Dear Clubs,

After our meeting at Stoneleigh yesterday we have a lot of big changes to implement for this year. As all of the blocks after the main gate are currently under ground works, they are having a matting installed under the grass which will not be usable until mid-September. Stoneleigh are having this done to make up for the lack of parking as they have lost Gates 1 – 2 – 3 due to the HS2 Railway passing alongside the site. These blocks will be available for 2022, but for this year we need to condense all of our club sites onto Block 59 – 51 – 63 – 73 and the Grand Ring. I’m currently working on a new layout for all of the club sites and a new site plan for 2021. When I have this finished I can send that to you so you can inform your club members of you new temporary location for 2021.

I’m currently waiting on the ground to forward me the details for a couple of marquee companies, once I have the plan and your locations organised I can send this all out to you.

Please bear with me as creating new site plans take a bit of time, thanks for your support at Stoneleigh and I will get the information out to you as soon as I can.

If you want to give me a call to discuss anything my office number is below.

Any follow up to this Ian? It almost looks as if they wanted you to chase them!
Ah you still off to Belgium?
I’m keen to go to Stoneliegh as I’m desperate to go somewhere- even got a new tent if accommodation can’t be found in Kennelworth .

Yes I have a plan but written before my application was received, along with most of the other clubs, so the plan does not include us so is irrelevant. I’ll post the final plan when received.
No not going to Spa as we would have had to confirm our camping when Belgium was 10 days quarantine on arrival and UK 10 days quarantine on return plus tests both ends. Free for next year again.

We have a plan. Our new, temporary pitch is 76B, almost the same pitch as the last X number of years (old pitch number 76A) so you will all be able to find it easily. I'm pretty sure it is the one  that used to be the Rickman stand, right next to ours on the entrance side. I am attempting to find the whereabouts of the club bunting, flags, posts and signs as at end of the last Stoneleigh show these were taken back to Pilgrim Motorsport and have not been seen since.

Please be aware that due to the smaller club pitches, the organisers are discouraging camping on them, and that camping on the dedicated camping areas is preferable, so please, if you are camping make use of the dedicated camping area and not the club pitch.

PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE THAT ALL OF THE PILGRIM CLUB SIGNAGE, POSTS, TENT ETC ARE NOT IN MY POSSESSION SO THE CLUB PITCH WILL ONLY HAVE THE KITNET FLAGS, UNLESS PILGRIM MOTORSPORT FIND AND BRING OUR SIGNAGE BACK (Latest news - all the stuff mentioned is being delivered to the club pitch on Friday)

Following from Colin from Kitnet, which was in reply to my email to him.....

Hi Ian.
Yes I had the email. It's good we are still together at least. I have instructed our guys that camping on the pitch will probably be not possible this year. So they are aware about it.
I'm going up on the Friday to keep an eye on it, as well as be there early each day so I can police our pitch for just our members.
We do have a gazebo I will put up for shelter from whatever weather is thrown at us so tell your guys they are welcome to use it. I will also be doing tea & coffee if they would like some.
Regards the signs, if you get no joy I do still have our 2 kitnet.uk flags that I will put up so you can let your guys know to look out for them & just park up with us.
I will probably have to point people out where to park if the pitch is really small so we can get everyone in comfortably.
Hopefully it will be fine & a nice size so there won't be any problems.
See you there Ian. It will be nice to catch up again.
Colin.
