You have just finished building your Bulldog.  I had no idea that kits were still available. Congrats!

They are not! This is an old one that presumably was "completed" many years ago, probably in the late 1980's, therefore MOT'd and registered before the current testing procedure (IVA). Any kit car completed within the last 10 years or so cannot just be built and MOT'd but has to go through a strict test, which the Bulldog was never designed to pass. To my knowledge no Bulldog has been entered for or passed the SVA or IVA test, although I understand that one was submitted for the test in the period that the SVA test was being phased in. Other than that, the nearest to it was my Pilgrim Hawthorn kit (same chassis and Marina running gear as the Bulldog), bought in 1988/9 but never put together, rescued by me from under a tree some 18 years later and then built to conform with the (then) current SVA test a couple of years ago. It passed but needed a lot of work to change and add bits that were never designed for the SVA, or current IVA.
So, if you would like to have a "new" Bulldog, you will have to either find one that has never been built and get it through the IVA test, or get yourself an old one and restore/rebuild it to your own specifications.

Hi Ian,
The one John has was mine and I notice that he hasn't mentioned ,as far as I can see that ,he is recently back from a 2000 mile round trip to Italy in it. I must say I have very mixed emotions the strongest one being jealousy but I am sooooo pleased to see it being used as it was intended.
