Lady Ermintrude once again sailed through her MOT test last week - she is over 25 years old now and to be honest when I was building the car I was looking for it to last to the year 2000, and here we are 11 years further on. Although one of my ladies is in pristine condition, I cannot say the same for the other one who would fail her MOT test on several counts - unable to give hand signals amongst other things. Poor Barbara did a nose dive down an escalator, over her wheelie case, on our way home from the Edinburgh Fringe, and with no assistance from me managed to dislocate and fracture her shoulder. After a couple of days excellent care in Newham Hospital she was strapped up and allowed home, but movements are somewhat restricted for a while. The exact details of how this freak accident happened completely elude any reasonable explanation.
So, it is possible that we may not make it to Bingley Hall at all - depending on how mobile she becomes over the next couple of weeks - so if our motorhome is notable only by it's absence, then you will know the reason why.

Thanks guys - hope you did not get anything worse than bruises Les - and another reason why the camper is at a standstill - a recent electrical storm seems to have fried the immobiliser! It was not the only one in my road either. An excuse to get a new fancier one and install central locking!

At least the camper is now fit and well again - a new immobiliser and central locking all fitted and working nicely thank you for 122 of your earth pounds. A new battery as well - extra supa dupa heavy duty power - just started to re-upholster the interior - new set of mud flaps and wheel trims and then we might even use it! Would be nice to have a bit more power but I will put up with the poor little 2 litre strangled petrol engine for now.
