Hi,
Just came across an unfinished Bulldog this lunchtime.

Is it possible to tell if it's a MkI/MkII etc from the chassis/Vin No?

Vin plate states Pilgrim, Brightonm England
Chassis No. BWJLR/PB01

Hi Bevs,
Not as far as I'm aware. If it is Marina based it can be a MKI MKII or MKIII if it is Cortina based it will be a MKIV or MKV. If it has no doors it will probably be a MKI, if the dashboard comes round at the ends and it has doors it is probably a MKII and if it is Marina based and has six "vents" on the side of the engine bay it is probably a MKIII. If it is Cortina based and has no "vents" on the side of the engine bay it is almost certainly a MKV. Hope this is of some help and sorry to be so vague but it really is not an exact science as there have been some in betweenie models as development progressed.

Lets have a picture and we can tell you!
Whole dashboard - full frontal showing suspension - 3/4 front showing side of engine bay. I think you should be able to tell whether it has a Ford or a BL engine in it - any idea when it was first re-registered?
