You are a good man!

Maybe as treasurer I should set up an incentive for members... Recruit a new member and get your next year free! (offer only available once per member per year).

What do you reckon guys?

Good idea - might include the proviso of setting up a standing order to pay the following year, for both parties.......

And another thing - renewal for membership now should be a peice of cake now the standing order form is on this website and in a prominent position? Should I put up the membership application form as well perhaps?

Has the place got it's own micro climate then. I was in the dockyard at chatham a few years ago. I haven't been that way for a good many years. Hope to make it down on the Saturday

It definately has it's own micro climate. Prevailing weather conditions are usually high winds, rain, cold, and when the rest of the country has high winds, rain and cold it is usually hot and sunny at Detling.

Ahhh well a different kettle of fish on Sunday. Just 2 Haldanes could be bothered but we had 4 Bulldogs and an FT. Most of the other clubs/kit car owners seemed to have disappeared by 2pm which is not very good. Mind you there were very few public visitors there, and there was only one short shower so you cannot really blame the weather.

I thought it was one of the best shows I have seen at Detling and only one rain shower while I was there! Shame there was no Pilgrim stand though.
