Hi John,

I think almost everyone you ask will give the name of a different company.

Firstly you need to establish what you want precisely e.g. do you want full european breakdown cover or UK breakdown cover included, annual mileage, agreed valuation, etc, etc & when enquiring always mention you're a member of a kit car club.  I've insured mine through Heritage with an agreed valuation, european breakdown cover & a limited mileage but, as always it pays to 'phone around & include Adrian Flux, Footman James & Peter James on your short list.

That's my suggestion(s), anyway

Hi John,
Just had my insurance renewal for my 1800 Marina based Bulldog £104.00 plus 21.00 for UK and European breakdown cover ( which I can recommend from 1st hand experience!!!)
That's insured value £1500 on 3000 miles per annum.
Gott and Wynne Llandudno 01492 870991 ask for Gavin or Phil in Kitcar Insurance dept.
Give them a call and get a quote, it can do no harm
Regards
Clive
( I do not have any affiliation with the above Co, just insured with them, nice guys )

Hi John - I am with Adrian Flux and I also use them for my Motorhome and Clone box as well. Having all three with them the total deal is pretty good considering my London postcode, and if I add a further car as I did when building my Hawthorn the additional cost was next to nothing. Good advice given by Roger - know what you want before getting on the phone.

I would add Backford Bloor to the list of companies to try 01513568776   www.insurance4kitcars.co.uk.

I was with Flux for several years, but a phone call to these, and my premium came down by £200 and I had a lower excess.

It pays to phone around.

In my experience many of the specialist policies are underwritten by KGM and what you get is much of a mucness except for mileage and breakdown deals and these are usually sorted out by the Insurance Agent. Mine was £107 last year with 5000 miles but no breakdown cover and that was with MR Bloor (Backford Bloor) it will be interesting to see what it is this year.

I'm with Adrian Flux. £105 with 3,000 a year limit. Happy - but paperwork is a bit fiddly.
