We are looking to update this website to benefit PCC members. If you have any ideas or suggestions that you think would improve the website please let us have them. You can post them on here or email them to me over the next week and we will see what we can do to impement them.

It's simple at the moment Robin but the feedback from the AGM was that it is to simple and needs a few more bells and whistles.

I would like to see the 'Spoked Wheel' logo used on the home page, if possible, to replace the current banner.

I think we were also in favour of restricting the ability to post , and reply to posts, to paid-up members only.

Other than that, I think it is fine and agree that it should be kept as simple as possible.

If we are going to upgrade the site, then I think you can get more adventurous than changing the logo  Grin

For example:

Do you want a formal picture gallery?
Would you like payments/club membership to be possible on line? If so, should we still have standing orders as an alternative?
Do you want a system that formally invites people to events and tracks how many are attending?
Do you want club members to have their own web log / diary to be able to show off their own rebuilds?
Are there any other club sites that you've seen that knock our socks off that we should all look at for inspiration?
If we change the look and feel (and I guess we should), then what site gives you inspiration from that point of view?
Do you want us to build in an insurance quote system? (Adrian Flux might oblige!)

These are some things. There's no promise that we can actually build everything, but since we are blue-sky dreaming, we may as well be adventurous Smiley

Dixon.

Agreed, Keith.
With regard to the point Dixon made concerning other websites that impress, look at the Westfield Sports Car Club site.
This has everything mentioned by Dixon, and although we perhaps haven't the resources of Westfield, if we could approach this standard then the club profile would be raised significantly.

Uploading photos to a personal 'log/register' is a good idea. Can the existing memory limit re the photos be increased as that always causes me problems.

Having a gallery of photos would be nice with a link so Haldane's / bulldogs etc would be off a link and then our cars would be all together at the moment you have to search down a list if you want to see how other builders have done stuff.

Maybe use divided headings for Ford and BLMC based cars on forum. Internal search is also always good. Photos especially useful.

Keith Barnes, Dixon Jones and I had a teleconference the other evening, and you will all be pleased to know that Dixon has agreed to make a number of amendments to the website and include as many of the items suggested as possible. We looked at several of the other kit car clubs websites, and ideas have been taken from them in order that our website gets the look that we want. Amongst other things, our new Home page will have a "Contact" button, in order to contact an officer of the club (exact details of who this will be to be decided), and a better up and coming events page and calendar. As I said, all of the points raised by members of this website will be taken into consideration when the redesigning goes ahead.

You have had the offer of a full professional website designed by a friend who has built a Sumo with me who was responsible for building the Motorolla website[/li][/list]

Updated new pictures non black and white of stages of the build,
lists of the pieces that you need as extra (i.e the brackets that need fabricating).
Videography of the 'hard bits'.
Places to source the difficult to get parts i.e the master cylinder.
Idiot proof guide to the IVA
Advice on sourcing the extra parts not provided by Pilgrim

Comprehensive breakdown of costs for total build including different spec levels (i.e pinto engine vs rover v8 vs chevy, 15" halibrands vs 17" halibrands)
Pick up prices for body to get painted local to small dole.

An option to pay standing order to pay for car. I.e pay standing order to pilgrim each month and build credit to go and buy parts etc.

Look at Dax's website - very informative and professional

You are losing the Pilgrim brand through inconsistency in message and colouring (i.e the website). Keep everything the same and uniform to identify woth the brand at all times.

A page of previous builders prepared tp help new builders t reduce pressure and phone time at Pilgrim factory

thanks Nick
