We seem to have found a good new venue now, in the Fighting Cocks (details below) where, at the risk of repeating myself to the point of boredom, we meet on the second Tuesday of each month.
We have a stalwart band of regular attendees, with a smattering of occasional revellers, who all enjoy good company and an interesting and varied menu. More importantly we seem to have an enormous amount of fun every month purely in the diverse conversations that take place, and more recently in the menu choice.
Would you beleive a grown man asking for an ice cream from the children's menu? This was accompanied by crayons and an activity sheet, which I am sure will be popular again next month. I am waiting for pictures to prove this, and to put to shame/elevate to notoriety the attendee concerned. Along with the antics from the Christmas Bash with models from the crackers, again video/pictures of which I still await, the member/s concerned should be proud of their relative/mental age being more related to their shoe size or leap year age instead of the Gregorian calendar that most people calculate their age by.
Even in the freezing temperatures recently experienced in this part of the world this month, one Bulldog was present, hood down for both journeys, so at least the "Pilgrim Car Club" part of the meeting was sated.
Please let me know if you would like to join us as I need to book in advance if you are wanting to join us for a meal.
Next meeting 13th April.

Having just got an email saying about the new site, I thought I'd give it a vist, only to find I'd not been here for years.

However having just been to the May meeting at the above, I'd just like to comment by saying the kiddies ice creams are excellent, but Jane has thrown my previous collection of the containers (a penguin and a strange thing ) and I'm forced to start again. I was also disapointed to find out the colouring sheet had been updated only after I had declined it!

At least now the evenings are getting longer we can get a few cars out next time.

Just to let anybody interested know the venue has been moved to the Crown at Shoreham Kent - as it says itself - an old fashioned pub - good cooked from scratch and to order food, good beer, and very nice staff - owner and wife. Oh and its still the second Tuesday in the month
