Mine has a plate stamped and riveted in the engine bay with a further copy of the vin no stamped into the chassis by the front wheel (below the door hinge) but cant remember if it is the drivers or passengers side.

Hope that helps

The VIN number would have been put on by the individual original builder and he would have chosen the place for it. It "should" be in an obvious place, but I doubt it. I have heard of some people putting chrome cover plates on top of them.
I would go along with Robin - start at the front chassis legs, around the engine bay or on the front cross member. Sorry we cannot be more helpful.

If you know what the VIN number is, you can buy a VIN plate with your number stamped on it from Pilgrim Cars. Then you can put that in a conspicuous place and you should satisfy the authorities. This is a perfectly legal option.

This september finally we got our  dutch number plate!
Like you told me to do, I contacted Den Tanner, and he send us a VIN plate!
Placed under the dashboard the Dutch RDW was convinced!

When we're on the road, many people turn their heads, looking at our Pilgrim.
Thanks for your advice Grin

A happy, now driving, Dutch Pilgrim owner

Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
