I will echo that welcome and if you have a problem or question on any of the Marina based Pilgrims I will try to answer them as quickly as I can.

Hi Guys,
So I'm the webmaster that couldn't even get his car to stoneleigh... I went to Shuttleworth that weekend!
Anyway - If you want to join the forum, then just go right ahead and register.
In the next few weeks I should be able to set up:
an area for people that are full members of the club
A place where you can download membershipforms
Anything else that people asked for
You can already:
Set your avatar (Show us your car!)
Put some events in the calander (please someone... put up some meets!)
Upload your photos in any post (images limited to 200X200 for now)
Oh - My name's Dixon bythe way, thanks for letting me look after the form's back end, but you guys need to make the posts!

Guys - is it a good time to make an official announcement on the other website and get members etc to use this one instead? Can we route requests for the other site to this one automatically? (Answer - yes we can) Do we want to?

You (Ian) mentioned on "the other" site about posts being picked up by Googling? Will posts / topics, etc posted here be similarly captured?
May be a line needs to be drawn and say all NEW posts / topics ought to be posted here - that's my view, anyway, for what it's worth (as a new entry to the kit car & Pilgrim world). How? - no idea!

It is my intention to notify all members of the new site via The Breed which should be out the third week of June. It may be possible to archive the old information off of the other site or it may not but as far as I am aware the old site will still be running for people to search for information if they want to. John McGlaughlin may decide to pull the plug as the site is of no financial benefit to him bearing in mind he has over one hundred other sites to take care of which one assumes are his bread and butter.

That sounds good to me. Any progress on trying to get the contents of the old site downloaded? I know it can be done.

I am actually using the same database structure as the other site, so if someone can give me the administrator login there, I can probably (maybe) merge the two databases. Otherwise, if I had FTP access I could redirect all users just typing in the web address, whilst leaving all the old data (posts) up and working in Google.
To get THESE posts well indexed, we need people to start linking to this URL or I need to do some trickery with the other domain, which I can only do win access.

This is great the uploads go on quick and the messages are there quick also, may be an idea to have a photo board, its good having a spell checker as some of us are on the dyslexic side of life.

A Spell checker is probably a bit above my pay grade! It's great to see that the Breed has clearly had a positive impact on the members signing up though. If others call (this thread is fine) for a section esecially for uploading pictures (a Picture gallery) that should be pretty easy. It will appear as another channel (Below the "events" one).

Hi everyone, I can't remember what my old username was, so I'm going with this now. To bring you up to date, "Toby" is just waiting for his wire wheels to come back from refurb and hopefully then it'll be MOT time. Better looking site by the way.
