Well i've had my paperwork rejected by VOSA, Angry
The max speed and RPM figures are too low.
This just goes to show what lack of understanding or interpretation of the regulations there is within this organization. Two people in the Cobra Club have submitted lower figures, one within the last month, and his car is injection with about 30hp more. They didn't even question the figures he quoted. I'm afraid this lowers my opinion of this system even further.
I don't know whether to complain, or put and shut up, and try to get a test before the cut off.

Sorry to hear that Stu,  I have replied to your email directly but for anyone following this I believe they they have just recently started being more rigourous.  I feel it is just the start of things to come.  As soon as I restated by top speed at 130 and rpm at 5000 it was accepted.  I know someone else who got their v6 through at 110 but they applied earlier than me and may just have got lucky.  I doubt there is someone there looking at technical details and making an informed decision.  They probably have a broad spec sheet to cross reference engine and capacity against.

I figure restating a higher rpm will also cause me noise problems but the exhaust can be packed further.  The most bitter pill was spending another 470 quid on another set of tyres but now I have done it and have a test looming on the 2nd of March I am just trying to look forwards to warm April evenings driving instead  Wink

No Probs - mine is almost permanent still after 23 years of driving the Bulldog around. And you have probably more people to wave at when you drive yours as all those other Healey drvers won't know yours is not a real one, unless your secret squirrel two tone colour scheme is as I suspect, pink over purple.
